This is not the traditional recipe... because I like this one WAAAAAAY better (mainly because, 1) I don't like rice; and 2) I prefer a more tomato-y soup base. This caldo is my son's favorite ~ he is anxious for Fall and Winter all year for me to finally make it! This year (2022), I made it for our Yellowstone premier party ~ better than ever!!!
